Description

Project.net officially supports tomcat5.5 for production deployments, Project.net needs to support latest stable release available from Apache - Tomcat6.x

User stories

  • It is observed that tomcat5 is less stable than WL. Tomcat6 change log has mentions about the performance improvements. It may be beneficial for supporting tomcat6.x for more reliability and scalability of project.net
  • ASP has lockup issues with project.net, although the final conclusion has yet to be reached. May be tomcat6 solved this lockup issue.
  • It is always better to support latest versions of tomcat platforms for greater user base, tomcat6 is available and already declared stable by Apache.
