The primary objectives for resource management during this Sprint will be functional testing. Tests that represent users stories and designs around resource management will be created to allow for a supported customer release following this sprint.

Resource Management Reports

This document focuses on the explaining details of all reports developed under Iteration One of resource management.

This button fetches data from three months previous of current start month.

PRE REQUISITE / POINTS TO NOTE

1) Resource must be registered with Active status (supports invited users), RM reports will not display or consider the deleted resources.

2) Resource must be added / invited in the business as well as in the project

3) It doesn’t show complete assigned values if they are in decimal (only integer is supported)

4) Task Assigned Details

“Work % Complete” uses integer values for calculations of “Work Complete” due to which there may be a difference in this field

The current RM module contains 7 reports distributed under 2 sections Assignments and Reservations

Assignments

1. Tasks Assigned (Cross Project Assignment Details)

The Tasks Assigned (Cross Project Assignment Detail) view shows task assigned to resources across all projects. Assignments are selected based on the start date and finish date of the task falling between user’s selected dates.

a. Planned Start': The task’s planned start date

b. Planned Finish: The task’s planned end date

c. Actual start: The assignment’s start date (work first captured)

d. Actual finish: The assignment’s end date (when assignment 100% complete).

e. Total Work: Work for the assignment (not the task)

f. Work Complete: Work complete for the assignment (not the task)

g. Work Remaining: Assigned work – Work complete

h. Work % Complete: Assignment percent complete

2. Summary (Cross Project Resource Assignment Summary)

The Summary (Cross-project Resource Assignment Summary) view displays hours assigned to resource for each month, totaled for all projects. Expanding [+] a resource displays the project assignment detail for that resource.

3. Project Summary (Single Project Resource Assignments)

Project summary report shows Single Project Resource Assignments for twelve months from start month & year. This report is useful to see single project assignments to all users of certain business to know if resource is been over assigned for any month or how many hours he has been assigned for single project for every month in one year span.

Reservations

1. Reserve by Resource (Entry By Person)

The Reserve by Resource not only displays reservation of project with respect to person (Resource) but provide facility to update existing and add new entry of reservations as well.

2. Reserve by Project (Entry By Project)

The Reserve by Project not only displays reservation of Resource with respect to project but provide facility to update existing and add new entry as well.

3. View by Resource (Reservation Summary)

The resource reservation view shows how resources are allocated across all projects. Expanding [+] a resource displays the project allocation detail for that resource. By default it displays reservations of all resources who are members of all businesses; current user is member of for next for months from current start month year.

4. Reserved vs. Assigned (By Resource)

The Reserved vs. Assigned (By Resource) displays the total assigned work and total reservation of projects for each resource, and the utilized allocation percentage is calculated using formula Utilized allocation = total assigned / total reserved.
